Sam Sawaya
Sam is the Director and founder of SPOT Planning. He has worked in the State Government, Local Government and the Private Sector. His experience in the planning industry includes the preparation of Greenfield Precinct Structure Plans and Development/Infrastructure Contribution Plans, statutory implementation of high-level strategic documents on behalf of Local Government, planning policy formulation and interpretation, and professional representation and advice to clients in order to facilitate planning approvals.
These roles, along with his effective communication and negotiation abilities, have provided Sam with the skills required to navigate the Victorian Planning system and lead multi-disciplinary teams in order to coordinate and project manage complex projects.
On the weekend you’ll find Sam… playing a round of golf, watching my beloved Bombers or riding my road bike around town.

Cathy Fastuca
With 24 years experience in surveying and planning, Cathy has an extensive background knowledge in urban development.
Over the years, Cathy has enjoyed assisting developers in achieving their desired outcome, working, and collaborating with referral authorities, local government and building a great rapport with her clients. Through Cathy’s experiences, she has a good understanding of planning policy, processes and legal frameworks. She has developed a high level of negotiation and communication skills to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.
On the weekend you’ll find Cathy… on the soccer pitch or basketball court cheering and supporting her three kids in their sports. She loves to socialise, spending time with family and friends and enjoying her summer holidays along the Mornington Peninsula, going for walks along the beach and watching beautiful sunset.

Belinda Lonigro
With over 10 years of experience in administration, human resources and personal/ team assistance, Belinda is the go-to for support in the office. Having worked in both the private and public sector, Belinda is versatile in her working style and thrives in high-pressure environments. She prides herself in being solution-driven, creative and a team-player. She is our office all-rounder and is always three steps ahead.
On the weekend you’ll find Belinda… cheering on the Carlton Blues, going on long walks with my border collie, and running after my toddler.
